Aboriginal Drum Circle
with Faith Lobzun & Sophia Peltier
To immediately follow the Meditation of Hope.
Together Sophia and Faith embrace the Aboriginal woman’s drum to build on their inner strength and connectivity to Mother Earth’s heart beat which resonates in all of the Original Peoples cultures and unites us all.
Faith Lobzun – has been practicing yoga since first introduced to it at Wayne State University. The practice combined with the transition in her life from teacher back to student is a continuum of the life –long learning circle. Currently completing her Masters in Early Childhood Education, Faith has striven to combine the holistic teachings of her Mandan Hidatsa culture with the practise of yoga. The combination of spirit cultures through mind, body and spirit through music and movement has culminated in the woman she is today.
Sophia Peltier – has been practicing yoga as part of her journey to betterness. Starting with the basics of asana, and sun salutation, Sophia has appreciated the depths yoga has allowed her to access both spiritually and physically. Although still a work in progress, we all can learn and appreciate ourselves through yoga.
