Yoga 4 Hope is excited & honoured to announce our 2012 Headliner:

Class Time:  6 :00pm -7:30pm

Class Name:  Karma Yoga:  OM Sweet OM

Class Description:  This year, 2012, is the pivotal year for all of us to raise our vibration and consciousness!  We are ushering in a new age where operating from just the intellectual body will be obsolete.  This is the age of allowing our intuitive body to guide us.  Join Katherine Austin, founder of Karma Yoga, in sacred pranayam, yoga, mantra and meditation to release what is no longer serving our body temple so we can finally come OM, tune in and tune up to a higher channel: the happy, healthy and whole network!

Katherine Austin, E-R.Y.T. and founder of Karma Yoga, Inc., is a dedicated student of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara and Kundalini Yoga. As a regular teacher and workshop presenter, she guides her students with a unique blend of strength, detail and compassion drawn from her own personal practice on and off the mat. She is owner and founder of Karma Yoga in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Certified in Ashtanga, Vinyasa Yoga and The Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga (January 2012), Katherine has studied with many leading instructors, including Shri K, Pattabhi Jois, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Shiva Rea, Sharon Gannon and David Life, David Swenson, Tim Miller, Beryl Bender Birch and Jonny Kest. Katherine is also a teacher of The Natural Meditation Technique.

“I opened Karma Yoga in 2003 with the intention for our students to experience what yoga really is: The union (yoga means ‘to yoke’) of the individual self with the infinite self. My mission is to teach practitioners how to take their yoga off the mat and into their lives. With so much stress, disease and illusionary fear ruling the planet I help others unfold, let go and reveal the fullness, love and the light within them, so they can stop letting the external drama and trauma run them.”

Founded by Katherine Austin, E-RYT, Karma Yoga is a yoga studio in Southeastern Michigan that prides itself on offering its students integrity, authenticity and high-quality yoga instruction since 2003. All ages, from prenatal to seniors, are guided safely by Karma’s staff of teachers, who collectively bring more than 178 years of experience in studying and living their yoga. Offering a broad range of classes, special programs and merchandise, the Bloomfield Hills, Mich., studio offers some of the most progressive programs in the state, including Michigan’s first Khalsa Way® prenatal yoga class, as well as adult yoga, family yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, and yoga teacher training.
